At Franklin High School, there are various opportunities to be involved in climate activism and learning more about the environment. There is an Environmental Club and Sustainability Club, as well as a climate justice class. Classes that promote learning about the environment include marine science and AP Environmental Science. In those classes, students are able to learn more about the environment and how to make the planet a cleaner and happier place for us to thrive on.
The Environmental Club at Franklin has been actively working hard to inform others about climate issues around the world through informative posters and social media posts, focusing on promoting awareness and suggesting easy changes people can make in their everyday life in order to be more eco-conscious. Franklin is also hosting an Eco fair in February, encourages aluminum recycling, and is working on building a butterfly/local pollinator garden. At the Environmental Club, there are discussions on how everyone can be more sustainable individually.
